Championing a Secure and Ethical Digital Future
The Digital Trust Alliance is Sri Lanka's professional body advancing cybersecurity, information security, governance and privacy — bringing together industry, academia and government around a shared standard of digital trust.
Who we are
The Digital Trust Alliance (DTA) is a not-for-profit professional body established to uphold and advance digital trust across Sri Lanka. We develop standards, grow the profession, and represent the nation's cybersecurity community — from practitioners and academics to policymakers.
Our work spans the full breadth of digital trust: cybersecurity, information security, governance, risk, compliance and privacy. Through certification, research, advocacy and collaboration, we help build a digital ecosystem the public can rely on.
Our objectives
Five commitments that guide the Alliance — aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Promotion of Best Practices
Develop and disseminate guidelines and standards for digital trust — cybersecurity, information security, governance, risk, compliance and privacy — in conjunction with other national bodies, and share knowledge through conferences, seminars and workshops.
Professional Development
Offer certification programs that validate the skills of cybersecurity professionals, and run training and workshops that keep members current with the latest developments in the field.
The Charter for Digital Trust
Receive and maintain the Charter per the line ministry's recommendations, appoint academic councils and committees, and certify qualified individuals — local and international — across all aspects of digital trust.
Advocacy & Representation
Advocate for policies and regulations that strengthen national cybersecurity, and represent Sri Lanka in international forums to enhance the country's overall security posture.
Collaboration & Research
Encourage collaboration between academia, industry and government, fund research that solves critical cybersecurity challenges, and build sustainable partnerships for awareness and best practice.
